Guidance for public health management of zoonotic influenza in Scotland

• Change in recommendations for the period of active and/or passive follow up of cases and contacts from 10 days to 14 days.
• Recommendation for antiviral prophylaxis to be started within 8 days of exposure has been changed to within 7 days of exposure.

Recommendation added to notify Scottish Government of all human testing for suspected zoonotic influenza.
