Description
Public Health Scotland (PHS), in partnership with One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS), City of Glasgow College and the Glasgow Local Employability Partnership, developed and delivered a parental employability pathway for lone parents based on an Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) model.
The pathway combined paid NHS employment, accredited qualifications, pre-employment support and ongoing wraparound employability support. Alongside delivery of the pathway, PHS worked with NHS Boards, policy makers and partners across Scotland to gather, synthesise and share learning on parental employability approaches.
This evaluation builds on the finding of the interim evaluation completed at the 10-month stage and assesses both participant outcomes and the programme's wider contribution to creating the conditions for parental employability pathways to be adopted more widely across NHS Scotland.
