    The Community Respiratory Team (CRT) in Glasgow City provides specialist respiratory support for people living with chronic respiratory conditions, helping to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, reduce length of stay, and improve patients’ quality of life. The team identified a need for more systematic reporting of the data they routinely collect. To address this, LIST worked in partnership with the CRT to develop their data collection template and to produce an interactive dashboard to enable consistent reporting and ongoing service evaluation.

    A Pharmacy contact in the City of Edinburgh partnership asked the Local Intelligence Support Team (LIST) to support a quality improvement project on Asthma inhaler prescriptions. An Asthma and Lung UK survey in 2021 showed that care in Scotland for respiratory conditions had reduced significantly and that the UK had one of the worst asthma death rates in Europe.
